Who would have thought of hiding the hideous toe under a designer Band Aid? Well, I for one didn't....but thanks to Zen's BRILLIANT suggestion I hobbled to my nearest drug store and picked up these. I'm not sure if I'm liking the Sponge Bob look, but it sure beats the BORING flesh colored bandages I have at home.
So, it looks like the toe is healing nicely, though the only thing I was able to fit my foot into this morning were my Uggs, which was a little ridiculous in this 70+ degrees day.
The good news is that the nail is still intact and hopefully will remain. Elliot recommended that I choose black polish (to match the toenail) when I go for my next pedicure.
Meanwhile, I noticed Jet Blue has taken over Union Square station with it's new ad campaign. It's kinda cool and interesting reading all the billboards lining the station's walls. I flew Jet Blue to both Miami and Tucson and must say that in addition to keeping the prices down, the service and ride were just fine....and this is coming from someone who fears flying.
Finally, I've been keeping this bottled up inside, but today was the last straw. All I can say is I am elated that Al Sharpton, (remember him....the man who brought us Tawana Brawley) and his National Action Network's organized protest was a TOTAL bust... a minor inconvenience for working commuters, who had nothing at all to do with Sean Bell and the court's verdict.
Chalk it up to another arrest for Sharpton and the Bell crew. These were 3 guys with criminal records...and I question what Mr. Bell, father of two innocent children and groom-to-be, was doing at a nightclub notorious for drugs, prostitution and criminal activity, on his wedding day? Gotta ask. As Mr. T would say....just sayin'.

Very cute! I've seen some nice Strawberry Shortcake band-aids, too. I always seem to injure myself so I know all the tricks, haha.
